Cloud native EDA tools & pre-optimized hardware platforms
The latest version of the RSoft Photonic Device Tools is now available. Version 2022.09-1 delivers enhanced integration with Sentaurus TCAD to increase the usability and performance advantage of the Synopsys design flow for optoelectronic devices such as phase shifters, photodetectors, and CMOS image sensors. Enhancements include:
MetaOptic Designer, Synopsys¡¯ unique inverse-design tool for quickly and efficiently designing and simulating metalenses and metasurfaces, offers new capabilities:
Other updates include enhanced performance of the RSoft BSDF User Defined Optical Property (UDOP), including improved multi-threading scaling. The BSDF UDOP provides rigorous electromagnetic simulation data to be used within Synopsys¡¯ LightTools ray tracing software for AR/VR systems, displays, and other applications.
The Sentaurus TCAD improvements listed for the RSoft Photonic Device Tools are also available in Photonic Device Compiler.
Evaluate the impact of materials on your optical product performance prior to physical prototyping and fabrication. See examples of how reflectance and transmittance measurements can improve your optical product design with the help of the Synopsys TIS Pro instrument.
David Lippman from the Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester, is the 2022 recipient of the Michael Kidger Memorial Scholarship. Learn how he became interested in optics, his current research projects, and his future goals.
