To provide Armenia with highly qualified and industry-ready IT specialists and to increase the level of silicon design expertise in Armenia, Synopsys heavily invests in microelectronics education through collaboration with local universities.
Synopsys helps universities expand their engineering programs into all aspects of system-on-chip (SoC) design and software engineering. The joint programs are based on a ¡°Business-Academia¡± educational model, executed through the Synopsys Armenia Educational Department (SAED), led by Doctor of Science, Professor Vazgen Melikyan.
Students enrolled in our educational programs are provided with access to Synopsys¡¯ EDA software and custom-tailored curriculum to their area of specialization ¨C IC Design or EDA development. Curriculum for Bachelor and Master Programs include presentation slides, labs, course projects, homework and exams, conducted by industry professionals and university professors. All course projects, diploma works, Master theses, and PhD dissertations reflect real-world design challenges.
