Ypsomed is a medical device company that is a leading developer and manufacturer of injection and infusion systems. With their systems and related services, they help millions of people enjoy the best possible quality of life. Csongor Pok¨® is test manager at Ypsomed. Ypsomed uses TPT in there product development. We interviewed Csongor to understand how he uses and his opinion of TPT.
A: We are currently working on the further development of our Smart Pilot Autoinjector AddOn. This supports the injection process with step-by-step user guidance to avoid handling errors and to improve therapy outcomes.
A: For testing on the controller, we use TPT and run black and white box tests from the software integration and system level. The communication between TPT and our controller is done using debugger. The setup and operation of the interface was very simple to set up.
A: There are quite a few good features, actually. The most important one for us is controlling our own HiL controller via the serial interface. I personally think the UI is very good. Even as a non-programmer you can easily create test cases and analyze them. The reuse of test cases by referencing has helped me to save a lot of time for maintenance and in coding when making changes.
A: Yes, often in fact. This is set up very easily in TPT. When changes are made, we can see differences between old and new software versions, as well as between test levels very easily.
A: I have already been involved with several testing tools in the past. For me, TPT is a great relief and I can highly recommend it. When implementing UART communication via the open TPT Fusion Node API, I had some specific questions that were answered very quickly. The support from Synopsys is outstanding.
